Pirate Liquidation and Mystery Box Company LLC, doing business as Porch Pirates, Porch Pirates Mystery Boxes, Porch Pirates Mystery Box Shop, and related brands, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our website, purchase products, sign up for communications, contact customer support, interact with our social media or advertisements, visit our retail store, request local delivery, or otherwise communicate with us.

This Privacy Policy applies to our website, online store, retail operations, customer support, marketing communications, advertising activities, and related services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not own or control.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, information collected automatically through technology, and information we receive from third parties such as payment processors, shipping providers, advertising platforms, review platforms, and customer support tools.

B. Payment Information
We do not directly store full credit card numbers or complete payment credentials. Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors, gateways, banks, merchant service providers, or point-of-sale systems.
When you pay online, your card details are entered into a secure form provided by our card vault provider, Basis Theory, which stores them under payment-industry (PCI DSS) security standards. Our own systems never see or store your full card number or security code. Payments are then processed by providers such as Authorize.net, Stripe, or Clover, or by other payment providers we use from time to time. In our retail store, payments are processed by our point-of-sale provider.
We may receive limited payment information such as:
- Payment confirmation
- Transaction ID
- Last four digits of a payment card
- Card brand
- Billing ZIP code
- Payment status
- Fraud review results
- Chargeback or dispute status

Your payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider under its own privacy policy and security practices.

- Process refunds, returns, credits, or replacements
- Verify customer identity when needed

B. Customer Support
We use your information to respond to messages, resolve complaints, investigate missing packages, review refund requests, handle chargebacks, answer product questions, document customer interactions, and improve our support process.
C. Fraud Prevention, Abuse Prevention, and Security
We may use personal information to:
- Detect fraudulent orders
- Prevent chargeback abuse
- Identify suspicious activity
- Enforce purchase limits
- Maintain internal customer risk notes
- Block abusive, fraudulent, or threatening customers
- Protect our business, employees, customers, website, and payment systems
- Cooperate with payment processors, banks, law enforcement, or legal authorities
This may include retaining records of customers who engage in fraud, threats, chargeback abuse, harassment, or other misuse of our services.
D. Marketing and Advertising
We may use your information to:
- Send promotional emails
- Send SMS messages, if you opt in
- Show targeted ads
- Retarget website visitors
- Create custom audiences
- Create lookalike audiences
- Measure ad performance
- Understand customer behavior
- Improve products, offers, and website content
For example, we may use order activity, email addresses, phone numbers, website behavior, or advertising pixels to advertise Porch Pirates products to you or to similar audiences on platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, or other advertising networks.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email. You can opt out of SMS marketing by replying STOP, where applicable.
E. Reviews, Testimonials, Photos, and User Content
If you submit a review, testimonial, photo, video, comment, message, or other content, we may use it for business purposes, including customer support, internal review, marketing, social media, advertising, website content, or reputation management.
We will not intentionally publish private personal information such as your full address, payment details, or private contact information in marketing materials.

- Defend legal claims

3. Cookies, Tracking, and Online Advertising
PorchPirates.us may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, analyze traffic, improve performance, prevent fraud, and support advertising.
Types of tracking technologies we may use include:
- Essential cookies
- Analytics cookies
- Advertising cookies
- Retargeting pixels
- Conversion tracking pixels
- Server-side tracking
- Session replay or behavior analytics tools
- Cart and checkout tracking
- Fraud prevention tools
Advertising platforms may use this data to show you ads on other websites, apps, or social media platforms. These platforms may also combine data from our website with data they already have about you.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some browsers and devices also allow you to limit tracking, reset advertising IDs, or use privacy controls. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality, checkout, cart behavior, or user experience.
Where required by law, we will provide cookie consent options or privacy controls.
Our Own Website Activity Records
We keep our own record of activity on PorchPirates.us, separate from any advertising platform. It includes the pages and products you view, searches, cart and checkout steps, sign-ins, order status checks, gift card balance checks (only the last four characters of a gift card code, never the full code), discount codes tried, the link and website that brought you to us, your IP address, your device and browser details, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
We never record card numbers, security codes, passwords or full gift card codes in these records.
We use these records to help you with orders and support questions, to prevent fraud and abuse (for example someone placing orders under several accounts to get around a block, or guessing gift card codes), and to decide which products, pages and ads work best.
Linking Activity to Your Customer Record
We set a random visitor ID cookie on your browser. When you place an order, sign in, check an order's status, or sign up for emails with an email address that belongs to an existing customer, we link that browser's past and future activity, including visits made before we knew who you were, to your customer record. We may also note when the same IP address or device is used by more than one customer record.
Session Recordings and Heatmaps
We use Microsoft Clarity to record how visitors move, scroll and click on our pages and to build heatmaps. Clarity hides what you type into forms by default and never runs on our checkout page. We tag recordings with our customer number so our team can see what happened when you ask for help. We never send Clarity your name or email address. Microsoft processes this data under its own privacy statement.
Your Choices and Global Privacy Control
Use the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of any page to turn off advertising or analytics. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising: advertising pixels do not load and we do not send your activity to advertising platforms. Our own activity records and session recordings are first party analytics and continue unless you turn analytics off in your privacy choices. With analytics off, we stop setting the visitor ID, stop recording your browsing and do not load Clarity. Records of things you do with us directly, such as orders, order status checks, sign-ins and gift card checks, are still kept with your IP address for fraud prevention and support.
4. SMS and Email Communications
If you provide your email address or phone number, we may use it to send transactional communications such as order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery updates, customer service replies, refund notices, and policy updates.
If you opt in to marketing communications, we may send promotional messages, product announcements, restock alerts, event notices, discount offers, review requests, and other marketing content.
Email Opt-Out
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email. You may still receive transactional or service-related emails.
SMS Opt-Out
If you receive marketing SMS messages from us, you may opt out by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Transactional messages may still be sent where permitted.
5. When We Share Personal Information
We do not sell customer names, addresses, payment details, or order histories to data brokers for cash.
However, privacy laws may define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly. For example, using advertising pixels, custom audiences, retargeting tools, or analytics platforms may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under some state privacy laws.
